KB Home — a major homebuilder in the US — wanted to modernize the consumer experience of buying custom homes, to improve their close rates and reduce their cost-of-sale. We designed a suite of new digital touchpoints for KB Home salespeople and prospective homebuyers through a Proof of Concept engagement.
We interviewed dozens of past and present customers and sales leaders. We quickly prototyped digital solutions built on the best of KB’s existing sales processes — kiosks in model homes, direct text message contact for buyers on their long purchasing journey, finance tracking, and a sophisticated home design tool.
Finally, we developed a detailed financial model to project cost-of-sale reduction by investing in these touchpoints and a detailed roadmap front-loaded with the highest impact projects.
